It's hard to be the God of War, the Artillery of DUC Right Sector battalion

Editor's note: "Gods of War" is a reference to the ancient legends of the Slavs and Vikings about the thunder Gods like Perun and Thor, artillery salvos is similar to a peal of thunder

You can't just become a great artillerist, it must be under your skin, you must born with this. And no one can't help you to become a first-class artillerist if the shots of artillery will not sync with your heartbeat. High discipline level did not help you, even if you will be under the commandment of the most experienced officer. Maximum of what you can expect is to carry the artillery shells.

We have much more work here than anyone in any other types of troops: we always carry the boxes with artillery shells and other stuff for mortars. Ho-ho, you can try to load two "Urals" with such boxes, it's really hard work! Sometimes we need to clean the shells from the ice or oil, well, it's not a stroll with a girl in park.

One more thing is "responses", don't forget about the enemy artillery, our positions is under the enemy fire more often than other, that's why really good artilleryst should be not only strong and accurate, but also quick. Furthermore - just look how we dressed, our uniform is always smeared with oil.

So you really need to love this by all heart. If you do - welcome to our ranks!

Friend "Chesnick" is real "God of War", a fire flashed in his eyes when he saw the mortar.

The result of work of our "Thunderbolts" you can see on this photo - direct hit to Russian tank near Debaltseve.

Friend "El Gato", Commander of the artillery crew of 5th battalion of the DUK Right Sector.
